The ingredients are fine ground, or micronized.These ingredients are minerals & inorganic pigments that exist in nature, which are finely milled and purified, then treated or coated with other pigments to create different colours and effects.

Some minerals have a slight shimmer, some have a matte finish and some are positively sparkling.

The ingredients in mineral make-up allows the skin to breathe and doesn’t block or clog the skins pores.

Mineral Makeup Ingredients

Micronized Titanium Dioxide 12%
A natural mineral mined from quarries and refined to form a fluffy, white powder. Used in cosmetics as a whitening agent, it is the number one choice for sunscreens thanks to its strong capacity to block UVA/UVB light.

Micronized Zinc Ozide 6%
A natural anti-inflammatory ingredient used to calm and soothe the skin. It also provides protection from the sun.

Iron Oxides
Natural salts that are oxidized to remove impurities and produce the beautiful earth tones of natural mineral make-up. There are three main colour groups of these very fine powders: yellow, red and black.

Silk Amino Acids Protein Powder
Cosmetic silk powder is 100% silk and is a natural moisturiser. It retains moisture and entraps oil, providing relief from sunburn, windburn and household burns.

Mica
A naturally occurring mineral, mined from the earth's crust, purified and crushed into a fine powder. Mica glitters like a prism and is used to create shimmer and shine. We see different colours through the light interference of the mica base and the thin film of titanium dioxide coating the base. Changing the thickness of the titanium dioxide film creates different colours.

Silica
Silica is found in rocks and is a natural means of colouring and protecting the skin.

Ultramarine
This comes from lapis lazuli, which is a complex rock mixture containing the mineral lazurite. Blue, pink and violet are typical colours derived from ultramarine.

Boron Nitride
This ingredient has anti-bacterial properties. It is also oil absorbing, glides on smoothly and offers great make-up adherence.

Vitamin E
An antioxidant that protects skin cells against the effects of free radicals, which are potentially damaging by-products of energy metabolism.
